Limited Edition Wine Tasting Was Divine!!

We had our wine tasting Friday the 15th and what a success it was. I believe the food pairing itself, prepared by Steve and Brenda Vassallo, was a huge hit. Thank you Steve and Brenda. There were many comments on the prawns in garlic and white wine sauce. Joe Rossi from Winexpert gave a great talk on the charactistics and pairings of the new crop of Limited Editions. If you were unable to attend and want to know all about the new wines, you can either call the store or check out our website. On the website there is a yellow box labelled Limited Edition 2010. Hit this and it will lead you to a page where you can select which wine you want to hear about, and you can watch a video on it. The deadline for ordering these is December 14th.

Time to get your Christmas Wines started.

If you haven't already, you need to start thinking of about getting your Christmas Wines started. We really don't encourage bottling on December 24th and drinking it on the 25th. As you know wine should sit and age, even if it is just a few days. Aging weeks, months, and even years is much better. You will get a much more complex, smoother, and crisper wine, with a little time on hte shelf. Our average customer makes a 6 week premium wine, so if you started it this week, it wouldn't be ready for bottling until the first week of December. This does not give it a lot of sitting time. The sooner you get it started, the better wine you will be able to serve your guests during the Christmas season.

Alkaline Mineral Water Dispenser.

As mentioned in an earlier newsletter, we now have an Alkaline Mineral Water dispenser operating in our store. This is the healthiest water you can drink. Our competitors are charging $10 - $12 for 5 gallons of Alkaline (no minerals) water. We are asking for $5 for 5 gallons of Alkaline Mineral Water. Less than half the price with the added benefit of healthy minerals added back into the water. Give it a taste. Your first water jug is on us.
