SPANISH ALBARIÑO

SPANISH ALBARIÑO

Albariño (al-bar-EEN-yo) is native to Galicia innorthwest Spain where it thrives in the cool, wetmaritime climate; the nearby Atlantic Ocean imparts asignature saline note. One of the key white wine grapesof the Iberian Peninsula, it is prized for its naturalpalate-cleansing acidity, coastal brine, and expressivefruit flavours. Albariño’s popularity outside of Spaincontinues to grow as wine drinkers discover its freshnessand versatility, and the grape is now gaining ground incoastal vineyards across California, Oregon, andNew Zealand. Expect to see a lot more from Albariño.

The fruity palate is rich with orchard fruit flavours, vibrant grapefruit and lime, complemented with subtlefloral undertones. Fresh and zesty with mouth-wateringacidity and light salinity on the finish. The perfect wine for anything seafood. Try it with grilledcalamari, shrimp risotto, or fish tacos. White meats, grilled vegetables, tapas, or a creamy caesar salad alsopair well with a chilled glass of Albariño.
