Break out the warm socks and hot mulled wine… October is here!
However, with all the focus on COVID-19 in 2021, it is easy to forget all the other critical medical causes that need support. The year of 2021 has thrown us a curveball, but October is still Breast Cancer Awareness Month and De Vine Vinters is honoring the month with its first annual “Drink Pink” campaign. This year, as part of the month of giving back, we will donate proceeds from all our pink wines in the month of October to the BC Cancer Centre at Kelowna General Hospital.
We are so thankful to our loyal customers who make it possible for us to raise funds through this campaign.

Instant Pot Mulled Wine
Ingredients
3 cups apple cider
5 whole cloves
3 cinnamon sticks
1/2 teaspoon whole allspice berries
1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns
Two 750-milliliter bottles dry red wine
2 cups port
2 clementines, thinly sliced, seeds removed
2 apples, thinly sliced, seeds removed
Add the cider, cloves, cinnamon, allspice and peppercorns to a 6-quart Instant Pot®. Follow the manufacturer's guide for locking the lid and preparing to cook. Set to pressure cook on high pressure for 3 minutes.
After the pressure cook cycle is complete, follow the manufacturer's guide for quick release and wait until the quick release cycle is complete. Be careful of any remaining steam and unlock and remove the lid.
Strain the cider through a sieve, then discard the spices and return the cider to the pot. Set to saute on high, then add the red wine, port, half the clementines and half the apples. Cover with the glass lid and cook until warmed through, about 5 minutes (take are not to let it boil).
Set the pot to keep warm and garnish with the remaining clementine and apple slices.
