Pinot Noir, Oregon
Wiilamette County is Oregon's oldest and largest wine region and is recognized as one of the world's foremost producers of Pinot Noir, the region's signature grape. The region's unique geography and climate provide the perfect environment for the notoriously finicky grape to reach its full potential, resulting in world class wines.
Framed by the Coast Mountain Range to the west and the Cascades to the east, the regikon follows the Willamette River for over 150 kms. The valley sits at the same lattitude as Burgundy - France's famous Pinot Noir region - and its northern position allows for extended sunshine during the growing season, ensuring full phenolic ripening of grapes. The cool maritime climate promotes fully developed fruit flavors, bright acidity and freshness, and the complex soils add to the the region's unique terroir.
Fresh red fruit flavours of strawberry, raspberry, and red cherry with notes of baking spice, earth, and smoke. Supple and smooth, with bright acidity.
